Welcome to Myerscough College’s annual Careers Event and Arbor Day. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the jobs market, identify opportunities in industry and engage with regional and national employers. The event will allow you to: Learn about how your course will support progression into that sector. Learn about how transferable skills will allow you to diversify into other sectors. Register and view live and pre-recorded seminars from industry professionals and international Arborists. Connect and engage directly with industry professionals. We would really like to see you all engaging with industry professionals and be inspired to pursue your chosen career! Careers Event Experience

  • Register & Engage – register and engage with at least 3 employers from your vocational area.
  • Further Engagement – engage with at least 2 employers from outside your vocational area, identifying what transferable skills they require.
  • Live Webinars – listen to live and pre-recorded webinars from industry leading professionals.
  • Stay Involved – don’t forget to download all useful content to your ‘Swag Bag’. You can access this for up to 30 days after the event!
  • Leaderboard – Don’t forget to get involved with our leaderboard. The more you get involved with event through talking to employers and visiting stands, you may win a prize. More details to follow from the careers team

Yes, you need to register for the event and to do this, simply click on the ‘Register HERE’ button at the top of this page. You’ll then receive a confirmation email with your log in details.
No, to access the event simply register and click the link in the confirmation email.
No, you won’t need a webcam or a microphone but to engage with employers, you’d need a working mouse and keyboard.
Potentially! Some employers will have live vacancies and if you impress they may suggest applying for a role once you have completed your course.
We strongly recommend you talk to employers. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with industry professionals who are actively interested in supporting your development.
